ARE YOU WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF THE TOWN? We are! We’re about a 15-minute walk to the closest grocery store, which is right next door to the NSLC (liquor store) and across the street from Tim Horton’s, We’re about a 20-minute walk to the waterfront, town shops and restaurants. For both, turn right out of the house and head down Green Street. At the bottom, you’ll turn right for the Grocery Store et al., and turn left for the waterfront. PRO TIP: Because Lunenburg is known for being hilly, when you’re heading back home from town – an easier return walk would be along Dufferin Street, turn left on High Street, then right onto Green Street (it’s a gentler incline overall) Green Street is the most direct route coming home from the Grocery store area and does involve the hill, so you may prefer a quick drive/taxi if you’re carrying heavier bags.

HOW MANY GUESTS CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE? Shorty’s Place can accommodate up to 7 guests. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs. The first bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom has a double bed and a twin bed. The living room located on the main floor has a futon which folds down to accommodate 2 more adults.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY ON SHORT-TERM STAYS? Full refund if cancelled at least 5 days before check-in. After which, 50% will be refunded if cancelled 24 hours prior to scheduled check-in. Following that, 0% will be refunded.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY ON LONG-TERM STAY? (30+ days)? Full refund if cancelled at least 30 days before check-in. Following which, the cost will be non-refundable.
WHAT TIME IS CHECK IN/CHECK OUT? You can check-In anytime after 4:00 pm and check out before 11:00 am

- Smoking inside Shorty’s is strictly prohibited
- Quiet hours are between 11:00 pm and 7:00 am
- No parties or events are allowed
- Commercial photography is allowed
- No illegal activity
- For stays that include Thursday, we kindly ask that you pitch in with Waste Collection by ensuring recyclables + garbage are put out at the curb before 7:00 am
- When departing, please leave sheets and towels on the floor
